EXPERIENCE REBORN

BUNK bridges the gap between hotels and hostels by combining affordable luxury rooms and smartly designed private pods.

We converted two monumental churches into gathering places for travellers, locals and artists alike, aiming to redefine hospitality by creating a place for communal wonderment, with inclusive social and cultural events in our sustainable restaurants and community spaces.

BUNK is where those who wander will start to wonder, triggered by art, honest food and sincere smiles. Where comfort and design are available to everyone, without the need for deep pockets. Where you can feel free to be your wonderfully weird self as you play your part in stories you take home with you.

Romantic getaway? Traveling with your crew? Flying solo, on the cheap? Whether you book our biggest room or our cosiest private pod, we never skimp on giving you the full BUNK treatment. Moreover, you’ll be sleeping in a church!

Luxury bathrooms, supersized beds and fluffy towels, no matter your room type. Helpful hosts, 24/7 security and free, furiously fast wireless internet, with power outlets and USB sockets tucked everywhere.

BUNK ROOMS PUT THE 'FUN' IN 'FUNCTIONALITY'

Our rooms may not be broad in size, but clever design makes them huge in functionality.

You can get comfy on our quality beds made up with crisp sheets, and set the mood with your ambient lighting system. You’ll have your own en suite bathroom stocked with fluffy fair trade cotton towels, organic shampoo, body wash and a hairdryer, where you can refresh underneath a water-saving, high pressure rain shower. Check yourself in using our easy automated check-in system, store your personal belongings in a secret safe, and manage your room temperature with a remote that does more than just control the LED TV.

BUNK PODS TAKE THE ‘S’ OUT OF HOSTEL

Our pods are your budget option, with the luxury of privacy. A breath of fresh air for single travellers.

We also offer double pods for couples or close friends. Want to be alone? Just close the blackout curtain and set the LED lights to suit your mood. Boop! Of course, we still throw in fluffy fair trade cotton towels, organic soaps and crisp sheets on your bed with. Shared bathrooms are luxurious, refreshing and squeaky clean. Oh, and they’re gender neutral too. That’s what shared means, right?

Food for the 'hood

We’d like you to meet new friends over a meal. And we don’t just mean fellow travellers. We want to introduce you to the regulars from the neighbourhood, too. That’s why our dinner tables are long, inviting and inclusive. Affordable meals are prepared in our kitchen with sustainable ingredients that are cultivated locally, whenever possible. It’s comfort food with a soul, served in bowls of love.

Home is where the art is

Don’t want to wait in line at the museum? No problem, just hang around your new home. Because at BUNK we surround you with plenty of gaze-worthy art. And we’ve got our events down to a fine art, too. After dinner, we collaborate with local artists to bring something new to the table: a wide range of small-scale, high-quality cultural activities. We’ve got exhibitions, lectures, poetry, cabaret, light installations, live music, movie nights and the occasional show by our artists-in-residence.

These non-profit activities are organised by the Liberales Foundation which is backed financially by a percentage of the hotel revenues. This is how we guarantee the continuity of this unsubsidised cultural programme, locally reinvesting our capital and reaching out to all groups in society. Call it gentlification, if you will.
