NDSM wharf is a unique cultural spot in Amsterdam Noord. It used to be one of the largest shipbuilding wharfs in Amsterdam, until it went bankrupt in 1984. It was the opportunity for the local community to reclaim this unused place, transforming it into a creative outdoor space. It is a great place to stroll around, having a break by the beach and its cafes, wandering around the vintage market or, for the adventurous ones, try bungee jumping from an industrial crane.
